JUDGE ADVOCATE GENERAL'S CORPS

The Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG Corps) is the branch or specialty of a military concerned with military justice and military law. JAG training provides cadets with quality basic legal instruction and fosters an interest in the study and practice of law. Trainings vary from academically charged classroom settings with series of mock trials to observing in person trials and interviewing professionals in the field. Topics covered may be: Courtroom and Trial Basics, Roles & Missions of the Judge Advocate General Corps, The Roles & Missions of the Naval Justice School, The Uniform Code of Military Justice, Courts Martial, Non-Judicial Punishment, Law of War & Rules of Engagement, Legal Aspects of the War on Terror, Law School and Civilian Legal Careers, USMC JAG vs. Navy JAG, and Trial Practice.
